English 1102

English 1102 is a very interesting class. Started off with a research paper and, of course, I can’t write worth a flip. It was kind of interesting though. I passed it thank god. And trying to write for the last couple of essays and I just can’t get the grasp of it. We read a lot of short stories which were very interesting. I really like “Why I Live at the P.O.” because it was very humorous. Eudora Welty does have a sense of humor when she writes a lot of her short stories. I want to find more of her work. We worked on some plays, like “Fences” and “Death of a Salesman”. Those were extremely good plays. I watched “Death of a Salesman” in class but we didn’t finish it. I found it and watched the rest of it. It was fantastic. Once we started working on poetry, I was interested because I love poetry. I try to write poems myself. I have written a few that I don’t really want to share because I was in a bad place for about two years and they are very brutally detailed.
I’m really not into group work because I don’t talk in class. I try to listen more than anything because I lose concentration very easily. I have always liked working on stuff independently. But I suffered through it because it was part of the class. I like the way Mrs. Lindberg teaches the class. She reminds me of my mom because of her sense of humor and her style. I had her for English 1101 and this class. It is really a great class.
