The question, Is Troy Maxson racist?
I don't think he is racist. He is just trying to fight for what he wants. He wants more than what the white men give him. But on the other hand, he was upset about the baseball thing because he thinks because he's black, they kicked him off. Specifically, he got kicked off because he was getting older and they didn't allow him into the major leagues.
When he was fighting for the right to drive the garabage truck, it did seem he was being a little racist because he was mad at them for not letting the black employees drive. He has that mentality about himself, if someone didn't really know him then yea they would probably think he was racist.
